Adriano Bauer, former PhD-student at the Maulide group and current Post-Doc at the Baran group at the prestigious Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, has been recently awarded with the Karl-Schlögl prize from the Österreichische Akademie der Wissenschaften, with other five young researchers in the category of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. The motive of such award is the outstanding PhD-thesis work of Adriano, carried out under Prof. Maulide's supervision, and entitled: "Carbocationic intermediates in redox processes & a catalytic cross-coupling of carbene precursors".
