Dr. Daniel Kaiser was honored for his dissertation "I. Vinyl Cations in Sulfoxide-Mediated Arylations, II. Electrophilic Amide Activation for the α-Functionalization of Carbonyls".
The doctoral thesis dealt with highly reactive vinyl cations and their analogues, keteniminium ions, which enable the selective functionalization of otherwise less reactive molecules. The Karl Schlögl Prize is endowed with 4,000 euros and is awarded annually. The award ceremony will take place in December 2020
Congratulation Daniel!
