On the 6th July, a press release from the University of Vienna touched upon our advances in the field of sulphur chemistry. Particularly, on the work showcased in one of our most recent JACS publications (find the link attached), where a particular type of sulfphonium ylide is presented as a powerfull tool to obtain Z-olefins out of carbonyls in a fast and high yielding way, as an alternative to the classical phosphorous-based Wittig reaction. A clear example of thorough, high-quality and successfull work, congratulations to the authors!
